FY2014 Massachusetts OSHA / Workplace Safety Grant Training Program – Employers Can Apply for up to $25,000

Massachusetts businesses can apply for up to a $25,000 grant to provide OSHA and workplace safety training to their employees! “We are looking forward to another successful year of helping our client’s process their DIA workplace safety training grant applications. It has been a pleasure working with Ms. Manson and her staff for the past few years; they make the process simple and rewarding for the employers, employee and trainers” Valerie Wakefield, President/CEO Every fiscal year, the Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA), through the Office of Safety, awards $800,000 in safety training grants to various organizations. In each fiscal year, thousands of persons receive workplace training through programs funded by the DIA grants. This highly successful program provides funding for workplace safety training aimed at workers throughout the Commonwealth.The goal of the grant program is to promote safe and healthy conditions in the workplace through training, education, and other preventative programs for employees and/or employers of industries operating within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and whose entire staff is covered by the Massachusetts Workers Compensation Law (MGL c. 152), sole proprietorship, DBA or self-insured. State agencies cannot apply for the funding but municipal entities may.Essentially all employers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are eligible to receive one of these grants. The grants are not limited to specific types of safety training. Any training program that seeks to improve the safety of the workplace is eligible for funding.
